Eyelet Curtains Fitting Service London

Eyelet Curtains are simple to hang, but achieving a polished, balanced look requires precise measuring and installation. Our professional fitters ensure your curtains are the perfect length, hang evenly, and glide smoothly across the pole. With expert fitting, you avoid issues like uneven hems, gaps, or poorly placed curtain poles. This guarantees a stylish finish that enhances the elegance and comfort of your room.

They’re perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, and modern interiors, adding both style and functionality.

Yes – they are designed for standard curtain poles, allowing the fabric to drape in soft, even folds.

Eyelet curtains are prized for their modern aesthetic and mechanical simplicity.

• Deep, Even Folds: The metal rings sewn into the header create large, natural “S” folds that hang straight from top to bottom. This creates an orderly, structured look that doesn’t require constant “dressing” or rearranging.
• Ease of Use: Because the rings glide directly along the curtain pole, there is minimal friction. This makes them exceptionally easy to open and close, even with heavier, interlined fabrics.
• Minimalist Header: Without the need for bulky tracks, hooks, or rings, the eyelet style offers a very slim profile. This is ideal for smaller London rooms where you want to maximise the sense of space and light.

They are an excellent choice for bedrooms, provided they are measured and fitted with technical precision.

Because eyelet curtains use a generous amount of fabric to create those deep folds, they are naturally well-suited to being paired with high-performance blackout linings. However, a common technical challenge with eyelets is “light bleed” through the rings and over the top of the pole.

To solve this, our expert fitters recommend hanging the pole higher and wider than the window frame. This ensures the fabric provides maximum coverage, effectively sealing out the London streetlights and early morning Essex sun for a better night’s sleep.

Eyelet curtains are designed specifically for use with curtain poles and are not compatible with curtain tracks.

The diameter of the pole is the most critical factor. Standard eyelets usually have an internal diameter of 40mm, which works best with poles up to 35mm in diameter. This allows enough “room to breathe” for the curtains to glide smoothly without catching.

They are arguably the premier curtain choice for contemporary UK interiors.

The absence of traditional gathering or fussy pleats makes them the go-to style for minimalist or industrial-themed homes. In the open-plan living spaces of modern Essex developments, eyelet curtains offer a “no-nonsense” elegance that softens the hard edges of glass and steel without feeling outdated. They work particularly well with bold, geometric patterns or plain, textured fabrics like heavy linens and velvets, providing a structural focal point that feels fresh and current.
