Pleated blinds suit the shaped and angled glazing found in some of Elephant and Castle's conservatories, loft conversions and architecturally distinctive new-build windows. Their dual operation — raising from the bottom or lowering from the top — gives complete control over light and privacy throughout the day.
Kelly's Blinds fits every pleated blind made to measure, so the concertina fabric folds cleanly and the mechanism runs smoothly in apartments near Elephant Park and offices near Strata alike.
Every pleated blinds installation is measured on site and completed by our own team, not a subcontractor working to a fixed day rate, so the concertina pleat performs exactly as specified near Strata and still looks sharp well beyond the first year.
Lead times around Strata can move quickly as new phases of the development complete, so we keep enough concertina pleat stock in common finishes to turn a straightforward pleated blinds installation around without the long waits some larger suppliers quote as standard.
A number of our pleated blinds enquiries near Strata come from letting agents and property managers preparing a unit between tenancies, where turnaround time matters as much as the finish. We schedule those jobs with that pressure in mind, without cutting corners on the concertina pleat specification itself.
Pleated blinds can be used in a variety of settings, including conservatories, sunlit living rooms and spacious office environments. Every product is installed with precision by our specialist team and is fully backed by our quality fitting guarantee for long-term satisfaction and performance.
Our pleated blinds collection includes over 200 fabric options, featuring functional styles such as blackout, dim-out, pearl effect and metallic finishes — so whether the interior is vibrant or understated, there is a fabric to match.
Fabric and mechanism quality matter more in a fast-growing area like this than almost anywhere else in London, simply because of how much daily use each pleated blinds installation gets in a densely occupied building near Elephant Park. We specify components rated for genuine repeated use rather than the lighter-duty parts found in flat-pack alternatives, so the mechanism keeps operating smoothly long after the initial fit-out gloss has worn off.
That same durability standard applies whether the pleated blinds installation is going into a private apartment, a shared office floor or a public-facing reception. Every installation is carried out with precision by our own team and backed by our quality fitting guarantee, giving residents, tenants and facilities managers one less thing to worry about as the building around them keeps changing.
A meaningful share of our pleated blinds work near Elephant Park happens while the surrounding development is still active — scaffolding, site traffic and shared access all factor into how we schedule a visit, rather than assuming a quiet, finished street.
That experience means fewer delays and fewer wasted appointments, which matters when the concertina pleat has already been cut to size and a missed access window pushes the job back by a week.
We'd rather spend an extra few minutes confirming the concertina pleat specification on a pre-fit visit than turn up to install the wrong pleated blinds on the day. Near Elephant Park, where several similar-looking window types can appear across one development, that extra check avoids the reorder delays that generic suppliers often pass on to the customer.
It also means the quote given at the start of the process is the price paid at the end, with no last-minute surcharges for a fabric substitution or a mechanism upgrade discovered only once our fitters are on site.

Made-to-measure pleated blinds are built to handle angled and non-standard glazing — a common feature of conservatories and the shaped windows found in newer developments across the area.
A dual operation system lets the fabric be positioned at any point on the window, giving offices and apartments precise privacy and light control at different times of day rather than just fully open or fully closed.
Yes — with over 200 fabric options available, pleated blinds can match both design-led apartments and commercial fit-outs across Elephant and Castle.
The service includes an on-site measurement of the shaped or angled window, a fabric choice worked through with you from our range, and precise fitting by our own local team, backed by our quality fitting guarantee.

Elephant and Castle's regeneration has introduced some architecturally distinctive glazing shapes, alongside conservatories and loft-style conversions across SE1 and SE17. Around Elephant Park and Strata, both new residential and commercial developments increasingly feature angled or non-standard windows.
Pleated blinds are the practical fit for those windows, made to measure and professionally installed for a clean, functional finish.
That pace of change also affects how a fitting service needs to operate day to day: access arrangements, building management contacts and even street names around Elephant Park can shift as each phase completes, so a supplier that only ever worked from an old site plan quickly falls behind.
For facilities teams and letting agents, that means a fitting partner who can adapt to a building that is still, in effect, being finished — coordinating around other trades near Elephant Park rather than expecting a fully settled site.
It also means demand is genuinely mixed rather than seasonal: new occupiers are moving into buildings near Elephant Park throughout the year, not just at the start of a typical moving season, which keeps our local fitting schedule busy on a rolling basis.
Whatever stage of regeneration a particular building near Elephant Park has reached, our pleated blinds fitting service is built to work with it — not against it — so the result looks intentional rather than improvised.
The area is also famous for its vast green spaces, most notably Greenwich Park, which offers sweeping views of the Thames and the city skyline. This abundance of open space and water means that many homes are flooded with natural light, which, while beautiful, can lead to issues with glare and heat. In the more modern, high-rise apartments overlooking the river, the need for effective light management is even more pronounced. The compact nature of pleated blinds makes them an ideal choice for these contemporary settings, offering a minimalist aesthetic that does not detract from the panoramic views. Whether you are residing in a low-rise heritage cottage or a high-altitude modern flat, the right window solutions help bridge the gap between the historic charm and the urban energy of this iconic district.
