Yes, Kelly’s Blinds offers made-to-measure vertical blinds tailored to your specific window dimensions. This ensures a perfect fit for any space, whether it’s a residential area or a commercial setting. Their team provides personalized service to meet your requirements.
Vertical blinds offer several advantages:
Light Control: The 180-degree rotation of the slats allows you to adjust the light entering the room, providing the perfect balance between natural brightness and privacy.
Space Efficiency: When drawn to one side, vertical blinds maximize your view and create an open, spacious feel in any room.
Versatility: Suitable for both residential and commercial spaces, they complement various interior designs.
Easy Maintenance: The design of vertical blinds makes them easy to clean and maintain.
These features make vertical blinds a practical and stylish choice for many settings.
The best vertical blinds are defined by high-performance, UK-manufactured fabrics and robust aluminium headrails.
Investing in quality means looking for flame-retardant (FR) and moisture-resistant properties, especially for kitchens or large commercial spaces. Cheaper, shop-bought alternatives often suffer from fraying edges and brittle plastic components that fail after a single season of use.
At Kelly’s Blinds, we recommend systems that utilise the Vesta or Louvolite fabric ranges, which are specifically engineered to resist UV fading and retain their shape over time. For a truly premium experience, opting for a cordless wand operation rather than traditional chains provides a cleaner look and guarantees total child safety. The “best” blind is ultimately the one that is custom-weighted and laser-cut to the millimetre, ensuring every vane hangs in perfect alignment without the unsightly gaps found in budget versions.
They remain the most practical and versatile solution for expansive glass openings.
Because the vanes can be drawn entirely to one side, they offer unobstructed access to your garden or balcony without the bulk of heavy drapery. This makes them a favourite for modern extensions where space-saving is a priority.
Unlike Roller blinds, which are binary in their operation, Vertical blinds allow you to track the sun as it moves across the sky. By tilting the louvres, you can block direct heat gain while still allowing a breeze to pass through an open door. In busy London neighbourhoods where houses are close together, this ability to maintain a view while obscuring the interior is invaluable for ground-floor living. We often fit them in sunrooms where temperature regulation is a constant battle, providing a functional thermal barrier that doesn’t compromise the room’s airy feel.
They are the premier choice for managing light in London home offices and commercial workspaces.
By tilting the vanes at a precise angle, you can deflect harsh, direct sunlight away from monitors while still keeping the rest of the room bright and inviting. This creates a balanced environment that prevents the eye strain associated with dark rooms or high-contrast glare.
Directional light control is a technical necessity in glass-heavy districts like Canary Wharf, where the sun reflects off neighbouring buildings. Vertical orientation is particularly effective because it aligns with the vertical movement of the sun’s path, allowing for micro-adjustments throughout the working day. We can also provide specialised screen fabrics with a specific openness factor, which filters out the UV rays responsible for screen glare while allowing you to maintain a connection to the outside world during video calls and focused work sessions.
